Heritage Park Estate came alive with colour, music, song and festive spirit yesterday with more than 300 members of the Baldivis community celebrating at its annual Christmas Carols in the Park. This is the third time the event has been staged in the beautiful parklands of Heritage Park, and this year featured performances by the Baldivis Kids Church Choir and the Settlers Primary School Choir, with all proceeds from the event going to the Baldivis Church.A special appearance by Santa halfway through the festivities was a real hit with the young and the young at heart, but it was the children from the choirs who stole the show. Many were dressed in festive costume and provided heartfelt renditions of family favourites including Silent Night, Away in a Manger and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, much to the delight of the crowd.Community Facilitator Paul Watchirs said Heritage Park Estate was pleased to support the Baldivis Church in organizing the fun and family-focused event which enabled the community to come together to share in some festive spirit.“We repeatedly receive feedback that this event is a real star on the community calendar, particularly as there are not too many other events of this nature at this time of year,” Mr Watchirs said. The annual Christmas Carols in the Park event is just one of many community events proudly sponsored throughout the year by Heritage Park Estate.
